Vicente Salas-Fumás (PhD, MS, in Management Science, Purdue University) is Professor of Business Economics at the University of Zaragoza (Spain). Previously he was Professor at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and visiting scholar at the universities of Stanford and Connecticut. Since 2012 he serves in a second turn as Member of the Board of Directors and Member of the Executive Committee of the Banco de España. He is also member of the board of directors and of the executive committee of CEMFI. His research interests are in the economic analysis of organizations, and empirical research in banking, entrepreneurship and innovation. He has received the award Rey Jaime I in Economics for his contributions to research and teaching in the economics of business, and the Medal in recognition of professional achievement of the Government of Aragón.
