The position is to be filled at the latest on October 1st, 2018.
Candidates should have an excellent research record in the area of marketing as well as in its adjacent field of innovation management and show potential for further high-ranked publications. A focus on quantitative research and research interests that strengthens the research profile of the School of Economics and Business (i.e., Governance) and opens up opportunities for interdisciplinary cooperation is desired. For instance, the professorship is expected to foster the cooperation with the Technology Transfer Office and Startup Service of the Martin Luther University. Candidates should have experience with the acquisition of research grants and the execution of funded projects.
The successful candidate will offer courses in all areas of business administration and in the specific topics of marketing and innovation management in the business and economics study programs on bachelor and master level. In the master program “Business Administration“ the professorship offers distinct specialization courses in marketing as well as in innovation management. Experience in teaching in English is an important requirement; non-German speaking applicants are expected to being able to teach in German after two years.
Additionally, active participation in academic self-management is required. Eligible applicants hold a higher university degree and a PhD. Additionally, the university requires further academic achievements as publications, teaching experience and third-party funding experience. These experiences could have been obtained as a Junior (or Assistant) Professor during a postdoctoral qualification or during other scientific positions in business or administration.
The holder of the professorship is obliged to fulfill the requirements stated in § 34 of the higher education act of Saxony-Anhalt.

The position is remunerated according to the W3 salary scale (Beamtenbesoldung Sachsen-Anhalt).
