Alejandro Escribá-Esteve is associate professor of Management and Strategy at the University of Valencia, and associate researcher at Ivie (Valencian Institute of Economic Research). Currently, Alejandro holds the Chair of Family Businesses at the University of Valencia. He has been visiting professor at Concordia University (Canada), HEC Montreal (Canada) and Bocconi University (Italy). His research has been published in international peer reviewed journals such as Journal of Management Studies, Long Range Planning, Group and Organization Management, British Journal of Management or International Small Business Journal among others. He is interested on the relationship between the characteristics and processes of Top Management Teams and Business and Corporate Strategies in SMEs, as well as on the special interfaces of governance and managerial bodies in Family Firms. He is also interested on academic performance, strategic management of universities, as well as on the study of scholarly impact. He has served as associate editor for Long Range Planning and for Business Research Quarterly, as well as guest editor for the Journal of Management Studies, European Journal of International Management, International Studies of Management and Organization, and International Journal of Manpower.
